Nature Learning for Pre-K
For children 3-4 years old.
As the cold starts to settle in, children are invited to explore nature and their community as leaves finish their fall and we begin to celebrate the harvest. Each session will explore a theme: pumpkins and apples, seasons/life cycles, camping, and giving thanks with the goal of gently introducing aspects of communal learning and increasing their curiosity about our natural surroundings. Children will engage in song, read stories, evolve their skills through sensory motor learning, and gather in reflection. Classes will be taught by a speech-language pathologist with activities designed to stimulate children’s development of social, language, visual/perceptual, fine motor, and sensory exploration skills.
This will be a great class for home schooling families and children that are not in a school program full time! Due to Covid restrictions, parents are not able to stay for class but should remain in close proximity to the village. Our classes will be outside, so dress your kiddos for the weather, rain, snow or shine!
***PLEASE READ CAREFULLY***
***4 session series running once a week. Classes will be held on Fridays (11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3) from 9:15-10:00 am
