Sept 19 (4 sessions) - Intro to Sing, Sign, and Play!
9/19, 9/26, 10/6, 10/1- at 1030 AM followed by open play and Q&A
6 months - 24 months. For caregivers and their babies.
Intro to Sing, Sign, and Play! is the introductory class to signing with your littles. It is a caregiver/baby class where parents and babies will learn songs and short play routines enriched with ASL keyword signs.
Taught by a speech-language pathologist, this class will focus on language development by showing parents how to use signs effectively, notice optimal moments for joint attention engagement, and providing new fun play ideas that are easy to do at home.
In the first year, as babies are developing their minds and their bodies, they begin using a combination of expressions, movements, and sounds to help make their needs known. As babies learn to clap, tap, point, and use facial gestures, it is the perfect time to introduce key signs as a way to help them develop communication.
